About the Author

Dr. 0lliver Jean Rogers, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, is married to Brother Oliver Rogers and is the mother of two children: daughter Victoria Evelyn Spidell (deceased) and son Victor Spidell Jr. She is also the grandmother of six grandchildren and a great-grandmother of four great-grandchildren. An ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, she previously served as a Senior Pastor and founded the Peculiar Children of God A.M.E. Zion Church in Sacramento, California. Currently, she serves as an Associate Minister at St. Stephen A.M.E. Zion Church. Dr. 0lliver Jean Rogers, affectionately known as Rev. Jean, received her education in Shreveport, Louisiana, and graduated from Fair Park High School. After relocating to Sacramento, California, she continued her learning journey, completing four years of online Conference Studies with the A.M.E. Zion Church.
